Ingredients: Olive oil, Grape seed oil, Cocoa butter, Mango butter, Shea butter, lye, water, essential oil (optional)
Our soap is basic. However, it is anything but ordinary. Our soap is cold process, handmade, vegan, and we worked really hard to try to make it allergen friendly. Should you need to change something we can customize it so that it is perfect for your sensitive skin. We also can color our soaps as requested, using a blend of oils and mica powder.
Note: We do our soaps in small batches by hand, so while we try very hard to keep everything in stock, it sometimes just isn’t possible. All of our soaps take about 4 weeks to cure, so we will let you know if we need to make more and allow it to cure.
This basic soap will probably not lather as well as store bought soaps. This is due to the more conditioning properties of the oils. I know that I adore when I get out of the hot shower and my skin feels so soft. That’s what this soap does. It nourishes your skin and doesn’t leave the need to immediately reach for a bottle of lotion.
To make your soap last longer dry between uses and use a draining soap dish. Store unused soap in a dark, cool place.
This soap comes in different scents, including unscented, and they are all either essential oils or absolute oils. We will never use fragrance oils in our soaps, ever.
Unscented: This soap has no added essential or absolute oils. That does not mean that it doesn’t have a scent. It has an aroma that derives itself from our main oil, olive, and the strong smell of our cocoa butter. It’s warm and inviting and should not transfer to the skin.
Lavender: It is known for its soothing properties that help relax and de-stress. It is also known to help with promoting a good night’s rest as it does help the body relax. That lavender is also antibacterial, antimicrobial, and anti-fungal is another great benefit.
Sweet Orange: Citrus is alive, it’s that first jolt in the morning to get you up and going. It helps awaken the senses. It’s also anti-inflammatory and is a natural antiseptic due to its acidic nature.
Tea Tree: To some, it may not smell the best; but it’s antimicrobial, anti-fungal, and antibacterial properties help a number of conditions, including acne.
Lemongrass: This is one of my favorite scents. It has a wonderful earthy tone with just a touch of bite to it. It also helps ward off insects and can even help tone skin.
Peppermint: This is a lovely smell that brings about the thought of Christmas, or is that just me? Peppermint is also antimicrobial in nature. However, if you have sensitive or overly dry skin be careful as it could cause irritation.
If you made it this far, congratulations! Hopefully we’ve answered all of your questions, but if not, feel free to contact us at our email email@example.com. We will be more than happy to help. After all, as Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.”
Possible skin sensitivity. If irritation occurs, discontinue use.
